Accounting Manager – Manufacturing
Position Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Accounting Manager to lead all plant accounting and finance activities at our Richmond, Indiana manufacturing facility. This role serves as the senior on-site accounting leader and is responsible for month end close, financial reporting, budgeting for a single-plant manufacturing operation, some cost accounting.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a. Senior Accountant, Cost Accountant, Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller with manufacturing experience who is ready for greater ownership and visibility. You'll be working closely with the Plant Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all plant accounting and manufacturing accounting activities
- Manager month-end close, general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Oversee Cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing and variance analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for plant operations
- Partner with plant leadership and corporate finance to support decision-making
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial reporting accuracy
- Supervise AP and AR and coordinate with payroll vendor
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong background in plant or similar accounting
- Prior experience as a Staff Accountant, accounting Manager of Assistant Controller
- Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience leading or mentoring accounting team
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
This is a full-time, on-site role, Monday – Friday normal business hours. The salary is in the 85K-115K range based on experience plus a comprehensive benefit package.
