Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Food Service Worker position. The Food Service Worker assists with daily preparation and serving of meals, including portioning food, setting up serving lines, and replenishing items throughout meal periods. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, serving areas, and equipment, following food safety guidelines, and properly storing supplies. The role interacts with students, staff, and colleagues in a courteous, helpful manner, handling basic customer service needs such as answering questions and ensuring an efficient, positive meal experience. The Food Service Worker may also assist with receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, and performing other duties as assigned to support the school food service program.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic Food Preparation and support Food & Beverage operations in a school setting.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Food Safety practices, including sanitation, temperature control, and proper storage.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally with students, staff, and visitors.
- Reliability in following schedules and instructions, and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and perform routine cleaning tasks.
- Prior experience in school cafeterias, food service, or hospitality is helpful but not required.
Salary : $18
