The Quality Manager leads a team of Quality Supervisors and Technicians and is responsible for managing food safety and quality within a business unit. Activities include implementing, leading, and managing food safety and food quality programs, developing and strengthening customer relations, providing a strong floor leadership presence and delivering continuous improvement. The individual will be required to provide direction, lead and manage projects, coordinate actions, and deliver tangible results/improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a quality team and ensure resources are actively engaged
- Proactively plan, identify, develop, and implement process and quality system improvements to meet Roskam policy, customer requirements, and/or SQF requirements
- Conduct process and/or product risk assessments
- Develop and implement preventive controls aligned with regulatory requirements
- Develop corrective/preventative action plans, leveraging internal resources to deliver results
- Promote GMP compliance
- Manage internal and external audit schedules
- Deliver and manage training programs
- Professionally represent quality to external customers and governmental agencies.
- Deliver continuous improvement (reduce/prevent internal failures, deliver right first time)
- Manage and mitigate food safety and quality risk
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated people and team leadership skills (3 years of supervisory experience)
- Strong working knowledge of quality systems (5 years of food safety/quality system management)
- Demonstrated experience with GFSI quality system implementation and management
- Experience with FDA and GMPs
- Strong interpersonal skills to include team building and oral communication
- Strong customer-facing and presentation skills
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Demonstrated data analysis and statistical process control skills
- Demonstrated accomplishment in the area of continuous improvement
- Strong documentation skills
- BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science, or a related scientific field
- Demonstrated SQF implementation skills
- Strong regulatory awareness in the food sector
