Job Title: Sanitation Technician
Location: San Dimas, California
Department: QA
Reports To: Food Safety Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitation of the production, warehouse facility, and facility ground maintenance.
- Assisting with tear down of production equipment, scrubbing, scraping, washing, and sanitizing to sanitary conditions.
- Using cleaning solutions and hand tools while following chemical, safety and food safety guidelines.
- Verifying the concentration of chemicals before being used by the operations staff.
- Completing daily paperwork efficiently and effectively.
- Operating a forklift, scissor lift, and pallet jack.
- Provide daily guidance to the operations staff regarding sanitation tasks.
- Stock cleaning materials.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts
- 1st shift: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, 2nd shift: 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, 3rd shift: 9:00 pm to 5:30 am the following day.
- It is a mandatory 6-day per week position with the off-day assigned to Saturday or Sunday.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment required.
- Minimum of 6 months sanitation experience required.
- Experience working with chemicals is required.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and Order Entry Software
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces.
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms.
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face mask, safety glasses, hearing protection, a bump cap, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required.
- Willing to work in industrial high-speed moving machinery.
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment.
- Exposure to various working conditions (heat, cold, dampness, chemicals)
Pay Range - Hourly - $21-$23 depending on shift.
