As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Planner to join our Engineering & Maintenance team.
The Opportunity
As a Maintenance Planner, you'll play a key role in maximizing equipment reliability and plant performance by planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities across the facility. Working closely with Maintenance, Production, Parts, and Engineering, you'll ensure maintenance work is prioritized, planned efficiently, and executed with minimal impact on production. The role centers on managing the CMMS, coordinating preventive maintenance, planning maintenance workloads, monitoring inventory, and tracking maintenance performance.
What You'll Do
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance work across all shifts.
- Manage maintenance work orders through the CMMS system.
- Coordinate maintenance priorities with Production and Maintenance leadership.
- Review maintenance workloads and track preventive maintenance completion.
- Maintain appropriate spare parts inventory and coordinate with the Parts Department.
- Interpret production schedules to effectively plan maintenance activities.
- Monitor KPIs and maintenance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Assist in evaluating equipment performance and support equipment repair or replacement recommendations.
- Maintain equipment records, manuals, and documentation.
- Generate maintenance reports and communicate project status to leadership.
- Support food safety, GMP, and safety initiatives throughout the department.
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree in Technology or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of maintenance planning, maintenance scheduling, or CMMS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility.
- Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
