What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salad/Sandwich + Prep Cook position at Rosie?
We are looking for an experienced salad/sandwich maker with the ability to assist in general prep work as well as work the salad/sandwich line during our busy breakfast and lunch rushes!
This position is full time with daytime hours, 6x days a week and usually done by 5/5:30pm.
General duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepping Sandwiches for lunch service and executing the cooking of them on a panini press during service
- Making salads to order following company procedures and style
- General prep work to assist other cooks in the kitchen, knife skills and ability to work quickly in a fast paced environment are a must!
- Maintaining a clean and organized work station
-Helping the dishwasher to close up the restaurant
- Ability to work 8 - 10 hour shifts
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years kitchen experience in a fast paced restaurant environment.
You must have reliable transportation (we are accessible by train in New Canaan, only a 5 minute walk from the train station)
Spanish speaking is a plus but not required! Must be able to read English!
