What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rosie Pro | Family & Home Specialist position at Rosie?
Rosie Pro | Family & Home Specialist
Rosie · Seattle, WA · Part-time / Contract
Rosie is redefining what it means to work in a home. We're building a new category of in-home professional — skilled, trusted, and valued — and we're looking for people who want to be part of it.
A Rosie Pro is the person families rely on to keep everything running. As part caregiver, part household anchor, you are consistent, capable, and the kind of presence that makes a real difference in a family's day-to-day life.
How Rosie Works
Rosie matches you with available sessions across Seattle that fit your schedule. You work as much or as little as you want, when you want. Rosie handles the vetting, scheduling, matching, and payment so you can show up and focus on the work you actually care about. As you build your reputation on the platform, there are opportunities to grow into more consistent, ongoing roles with families.
What you'll do
- Care for children across all ages — daily routines, meals, nap times, school pickups, and everything in between
- Household support — light cleaning, laundry, tidying, meal prep, and organizing
- Tackle home projects and keep things running smoothly so families can focus on what matters most
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- 1–2 years of paid childcare or child-adjacent experience — nanny, babysitter, teacher, tutor, youth coach, teaching assistant, paraeducator, or similar
- 1–2 years of professional work experience if your childcare experience was informal
- Ability to commute to family homes within a 15-mile radius
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before your first session)
- Professional, with a strong sense of ownership and bias for action
Rosie is a great fit if you are:
- A recent grad exploring childcare or child development as a career
- A parent or caregiver ready to turn hands-on experience into paid professional work
- A babysitter ready to step up to something more consistent and meaningful
- Someone between jobs or figuring out their next steps who wants meaningful, flexible work in the meantime
- Someone who genuinely loves working with families and wants a career that reflects that
This is a contractor position. Before your first session, Rosie will onboard you onto the platform, conduct basic skills assessments across childcare and home management, and complete a background and reference check.
