Position Summary
Dish/Utility workers play an essential role in every guest's experience at Rosie's.
By ensuring that every plate, utensil, pot, pan, and piece of equipment is clean, sanitized, and ready for use, utility workers help protect the health of our guests and support the entire restaurant. A clean, organized dish area allows the kitchen and dining room to operate efficiently while providing a safe and professional work environment for everyone.
Applying our Purpose and Values in this position may not always be visible to our guests, but it is no less important. Every clean plate, sanitized utensil, and organized workspace contributes to honoring our guests and supporting our team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Load, operate, and unload the dish machine safely and efficiently.
- Monitor the dish machine for proper operation and immediately report mechanical or functional problems to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dishwashing area throughout every shift.
- Handle all wares carefully to prevent breakage and unnecessary loss.
- Maintain adequate levels of dish chemicals, cleaning supplies, and other necessary materials while communicating replenishment needs to management.
- Remove trash from the kitchen and dish area and transport it to designated disposal areas.
- Clean food preparation, production, storage, and service areas as assigned.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of Rosie's exterior, including sidewalks, entrances, and surrounding guest areas.
- Assist teammates wherever needed to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly.
- Perform additional cleaning and support duties as assigned by management.
