We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team. The Medication Aide will be responsible for assisting residents with medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the health and safety of our residents and requires attention to detail, empathy, and professionalism. Must have previous trained medication passing experience with care facility

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident health status.
  • Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects to medications and report findings to the nursing staff.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and other members of the care team.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or assisted living setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards residents and their families.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer skills for maintaining electronic health records.
