Duties
- Lead and supervise the speech-language pathology team, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each resident’s unique needs and recovery goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, rehabilitation, and medical staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including documentation standards and therapy protocols.
- Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management within the speech therapy department to maximize efficiency.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging therapies by participating in ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Proven leadership experience within a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, neurological conditions, dysphagia management, and cognitive-linguistic disorders.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
