Rosewood Memory Care is a boutique residential memory care home in South Charlotte serving just six residents. We are not a large facility. We provide highly personalized dementia care in a beautiful home environment where relationships, engagement, and quality of life come first.
We are seeking an Activity Assistant / Care Assistant who is passionate about enriching the lives of seniors through meaningful engagement while also assisting with personal care needs.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading activities, building relationships, planning experiences, and creating moments of joy throughout the day.
What You'll Do
Engagement & Activities (Primary Focus)
- Lead daily activities, games, crafts, exercise, music, and social programs
- Engage residents in conversation and meaningful one-on-one interactions
- Assist with community outings, lunches, concerts, parks, and special events
- Help implement personalized activities based on each resident's life story and interests
- Encourage participation and create a warm, positive atmosphere throughout the home
- Document resident participation and engagement
Resident Care
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Support residents during meals and snacks
- Monitor resident well-being and report changes to leadership
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
- Work closely with the care team to provide exceptional resident experiences
What We're Looking For
- Positive, energetic, and compassionate personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and professional work ethic
- Comfortable assisting seniors with personal care
- Ability to lead small groups and engage residents one-on-one
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely transport residents in company vehicles
- CNA experience preferred but not required
- Experience in activities, recreation, hospitality, education, senior living, childcare, healthcare, customer service, or related fields is a plus
