Rosewood Market is looking for a Prep Cook who takes pride in doing the behind-the-scenes work that makes great food possible.
WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
Prep Work
- Break down and prep fresh vegetables, fruits, and proteins with care and consistency
- Assist in making sauces, soups, and other dishes from scratch
- Portion ingredients and assemble menu items to spec
- Set up the kitchen team for a smooth, well-stocked shift from start to finish
Kitchen Standards
- Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor product quality and pull anything that doesn't meet Rosewood standards
- Keep your station clean, organized, and inspection-ready
- Take direction from the Kitchen Manager and RWM Leadership Team
- Support fellow team members and contribute to a kitchen culture built on pride and accountability
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- A genuine passion for food; natural, whole, thoughtfully prepared
- Strong knife skills and comfort with high-volume prep
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Dependable, punctual, and ready to work (including weekends, no Sundays)
- Able to stay on your feet for a full shift and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must communicate through company-designated platforms including Homebase and email
- Prior kitchen or food prep experience preferred, but we'll train the right person

REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years kitchen experience (preferred)
- Must wear closed-toe, slip resistant shoes
- Must have a high energy level, be self motivated, and a natural troubleshooter
- Has a passion for food and using the best ingredients
- Adheres to all SC Department of Agriculture requirements including following rules of cooling, time control of temperature and storing food properly
- Must communicate by Homebase and email
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs
- Is an active part of the Rosewood Market Team, adhering to high standards of service, quality, and presentation
