What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Manager position at Roseville Precision?
- Maintain and manage company ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
- Plan, prepare, and coordinate internal and external audits.
- Serve as the primary liaison with certification bodies and auditors.
Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the QMS.
- Ensure all documentation is current, controlled, and accessible.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and quality procedures.
Audits & Corrective Actions:
- Conduct internal audits and identify non-conformances.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
- Track and report progress to ensure timely closure.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends.
- Lead initiatives to improve product quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
Training & Culture:
- Train employees on ISO standards, policies, and procedures.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Supplier Quality:
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
- Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present quality performance reports.
- Maintain accurate records of audits, corrective actions, and certifications.
Risk Management:
- Identify quality and compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Develop contingency plans to minimize operational impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management with ISO focus.
- Proven experience maintaining and improving ISO certifications.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QMS software.
