Position Summary:
The Ford Mobile Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle maintenance
and light repair work at customer locations using a fully equipped Ford Mobile Service
van. This position delivers a convenient, high-quality service experience while
representing the dealership and Ford brand in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and light repairs at customer sites, including:*
o Oil and filter changes
o Tire rotations and replacements
o Battery testing and replacement
o Wiper blade replacement
o Multi-point inspections
o Module reprogramming
o Recalls
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and recommend additional service needs.*
- Operate and maintain the Ford Mobile Service van and onboard tools/equipment*
in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding their vehicle*
needs and completed services.
- Document work performed and ensure all required service records are accurately*
entered into the dealership’s management system.
- Follow all dealership, Ford Motor Company, and OSHA safety protocols and*
procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ford vehicles, technologies, and mobile*
service best practices through ongoing training.
- Promote dealership services and provide a positive customer experience to drive*
repeat business.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an automotive technical*
training program preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.*
- Ford technician certifications preferred (or willingness to complete Ford training).*
- Minimum 1–3 years of automotive technician experience.*
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.*
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.*
- Ability to work independently in a mobile environment with limited supervision.*
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.*
Working Conditions:
- Work performed in both outdoor and mobile environments at customer sites.*
- Exposure to automotive fluids, moving mechanical parts, and occasional loud*
noises.
- May require occasional evening or weekend service calls depending on customer*
demand.
