- Technology or Media Specialist experience preferred
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and the general public.
- Assist the Media Specialist in supervising and working with students in the operation of the library media center.
- Perform repair of books such as taping, binding, and gluing.
- Oversee library material circulation, including check-in, checkout, shelving, inventory, overdue reports and weeding
- Catalog print and non-print materials. Process new materials for checkout.
- Operate a computerized circulation and catalog system for check-in/out, start up, circulation, fines and overdues, entering and removing data, preparing reports, and inventory.
- Assist in maintaining bulletin boards and other library media center displays.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the overall operation of the library media center.
- Supervise and help classes with checkout
- Work with teachers to pull materials for class projects
- Place orders and create POs for purchasing, manage annual budget and reconcile budget annually
- Assist students and staff in the use of information technology resources
- Assist in maintaining mobile devices (chromebooks, iPads)
- Coordinate testing schedules in cooperation with principal, creating testing sessions and print materials
- Work with principal to conduct test proctor and test security training
- Ensure all students complete/participate in the necessary assessments
- Provide technical support for computerized testing devices
- Ensure that all users/test monitors have completed required training
- Ability to prioritize work to best support the school learning environment, with direction from the principal (or designee), media specialist, and district testing coordinator.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- Ability to maintain a positive, supportive, on-task learning environment
- Ability to communicate courteously, sensitively, and with good will.
