Variety Wholesalers, Inc. is looking for business minded, self-motivated professionals with a passion for merchandising. You’ll need strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and the ability to balance product and trends with our customer’s needs in mind.
Essential Job Functions:
- Select, develop, and implement merchandise plans for the assigned categories to support achievement of the departmental goals and objectives
- Assist the Buyer in the development and achievement of financial goals for the assigned categories
- Ensure compliance with established budget parameters and company policies and procedures
- Complete special projects as needed
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or Business
Experience:
- 1-2 years related experience
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong market awareness and ability to assess customer and trends
- Strong planning, analytical, organizational, negotiating and communication skills
- Basic merchandising knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point skills
