CAD Technician/Drafter
Rosenbrock Land Surveying, Inc. is a locally owned and operated land surveying company in Auburn, MI, the heart of the Tri-Cities area. We offer a wide range of location based services including boundary surveys, land divisions, topographical surveys, construction staking, elevation certificates and ALTA surveys. We are currently seeking a CAD Technician/Drafter to join our team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Generate survey related drawings in AutoCAD including topographical, ALTA, volumes, contouring, profiles, mortgage, and boundary.
- Compile data from various sources including field notes, sketches or CAD related drawings.
- Complete research of necessary survey records, property deeds and pertinent section related information based on each specific project. Perform various survey calculations.
- Assist with survey field work when needed. Set-up, operation and collection of field survey data through global positioning equipment and total station devices. Experience with Leica equipment is preferred but not required.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum one year experience with Survey/Civil AutoCAD is required.
- Point Cloud/UAV processing is preferred.
- Previous surveying or civil engineering experience is required.
- Willingness to manage projects with little oversight.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent quality handwriting skills.
- Current driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
Education:
- Minimum high school diploma with a strong math background.
- An Associates or Bachelors degree in Land Surveying or related classes is desired.
