Land Surveying Technician
Rosenbrock Land Surveying, Inc. is a locally owned and operated land surveying company in Auburn, MI, the heart of the Tri-Cities area. We are currently seeking a Land Surveying Technician to join our team.
Candidates must be self-motivated, and willing and able to work well with and train under a crew chief. The land surveying technician will have the opportunity to gain field experience daily, which can advance into a long-term career for committed individuals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform field work for a variety of land surveys such as boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, land divisions and elevation certificates.
- Assist with collection of field survey data, taking field notes, and performing calculations.
- Search for section corners and property irons based on calculated locations and data.
- Set-up, operation and collection of field survey data through global positioning equipment and total station devices. Experience with Leica equipment is preferred but not required.
- UAV (Drone) Data collection and data processing preferred but not required.
- Manual labor includes tasks such as digging, carrying supplies and equipment, setting stakes, clearing brush on property lines when needed.
- Complete assigned in-office tasks when needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma with a strong math background.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with other crew members. Desire to expand knowledge and experience base to potentially work more independently.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent quality handwriting skills.
- Current driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
