Industrial Painter

About the Role:

This is a 3rd shift position (9:30p - 6a) that offers a $3/hr shift premium

The Industrial Painter plays a critical role in preparing and applying coatings to a variety of industrial equipment, structures, and surfaces to protect them from corrosion, wear, and environmental damage. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all surfaces are properly prepared, primed, and painted according to industry standards and safety regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship. This role demands a strong understanding of different painting techniques, materials, and safety protocols to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing finishes. Ultimately, the Industrial Painter contributes to the longevity and functionality of industrial assets, supporting operational efficiency and safety across various industrial settings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Proven experience as an industrial painter or in a similar role.


• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and painting materials.


• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and safety data sheets.


• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50 lbs, climbing, and working at heights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in industrial painting or related trade.


• Experience with spray painting equipment and techniques.


• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and hazardous material handling.


• Basic understanding of corrosion control and protective coatings.


• Previous experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure proper paint adhesion.


• Mix and apply paints, coatings, and sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment according to specifications.


• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and adherence to safety regulations are met.


• Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.


• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan and execute painting projects within established timelines.
