What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dayshift Hyd Line Fabricator position at Rosenboom Machine & Tool?
Summary:
Manufacture hydraulic lines with CNC tube bender. Weld components for hydraulic cylinders according to specifications provided. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying, checking material, manufacturing hydraulic lines, fixture setup, tacking and welding parts. Perform part inspections and quality of welds to specification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manufacture hydraulic lines—cut, bend, deburr, and package.
- Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Identify and check materials out of inventory.
- Enter required data to computer.
- Complete routing sheets according to next required process.
- Operator must follow requirements of Control Plan.
- Welds components for hydraulic cylinders.
- Washes all components before welding.
- Completes welding processes according to production standards.
- Sets up tack fixtures according to production standards.
- Performs daily & preventative maintenance tasks.
- Is a productive member of his/her workgroup and adheres to all Rosenboom policies, including safety requirements/procedures, to ensure a safe working environment for all Rosenboom employees; and,
- Habits of good attendance and punctuality are an essential responsibility of all Rosenboom job positions.

- Able to apply common sense understanding to basic work processes.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Carries out detailed, but simply stated, written or oral instructions.
- Handles problems involving a few concrete and routine job specific variables.
- Practical application of shop math required to interpret prints and produce quality parts.
- Ability to read and interpret a print.
- Ability to analyze a problem & identify the root cause in hydraulic line manufacturing & welding processes.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of gases and power sources used in the welding process.
- Measures (tape measure, scale, caliper) components and assemblies to verify conformance to the print.
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to identify various types of hydraulic lines.
