Rosenberger North America is an innovative global leader in RF (radio frequency) technology with an international presence. Our products are used in wireless technology, telecom, test & measurement, automotive, medical, military, industrial and data systems. We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Transportation/Automotive team in Akron, PA.

The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience with the following:

• Assist in the creation and implementation of process control plans, including capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies.
• Monitor production floor processes for conformance to control plans and customer requirements which includes fit, function, reliability, durability and reappearance criteria.
• Participate in Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Prepare and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages ensuring all elements are met per customer requirements.
• Develop and implementation of SPC activities, including originating objectives, goals and time tables, and implementing new techniques as they become available.
• Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF 16949 and AS9100.
• Facilitates disciplined problem solving with Operations on quality issues. Ensures timely resolution of quality defects, corrective actions, and preventative actions by managing small project teams to resolve problems.
• Support analyzes of quality issues to identify root causes and implements corrective action and takes proactive measures, such as developing and implementing continuous improvement programs covering production processes and quality management systems.
• Monitors feedback from customers to identify any quality concerns, generates matrixes, and reports them to Management while being the liaison with customers to resolve any quality related issues.
• Participates in the organization’s efforts in complying with the ISO9001, AS9100 and IATF 16949 Quality System Standards and other regulatory/legal requirements.
• Proactively trains employees.
• Works closely with departmental managers, production staff, and suppliers to ensure quality, aiming to minimize the costs of rework, waste, and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Assists Quality Management Team in developing & writing IATF 16949 related documents and forms.
• Facilitates First Article Inspections and submits reports to customers in a timely manner when needed.
• Leads process development and improvement projects throughout the organization.
• Provides guidance and support to the Quality department team members.
• Maintains regular, predictable attendance.

This position may travel up to 5% of the time to customer visits, trainings, other plant locations, etc.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Lean manufacturing environment
• 2 year technical degree required; 4 year college degree preferred
• IATF 16949 certified

• Experience with internal audits, corrective actions, and interaction with suppliers and customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
