POSITION SUMMARY

The 12v Electrician will route wires for the fire apparatus equipment as directed by wire diagrams and other technical drawings. They will be required to install 12v accessories such as sensors and lights. The 12v Electrician will also be expected to fabricate boxes, mounts, and other equipment required to complete the electrical installation according to the blueprint.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

• Routes 12v electrical wires to equipment and follows a wire diagram.
• Connect lights, hose reals and other accessories to electrical boxes.
• Fabricate boxes, mounts, and other equipment required to complete the electrical installation according to the blueprint.
• Communicate with fabricators to have a complete installation.
• Fabricates wire harnesses to complete installation as needed.
• Utilizes basic hand tools, shear, and brake press as needed to complete objectives.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Knowledge of DC electrical equipment and 6 months of related experience

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Math:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Abilities:

• Knowledge of basic inspection tools, machining skills or related fields.
• Able to recognize the importance and adhere to all safety policies to promote a safe working environment.
• Able to read and work from blueprints/spec book.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
