POSITION SUMMARY
The Machine Operator reads and follows detailed blueprints and schematics to bend sheets of metal. This position requires the lifting of metal sheets into machines to shear and bend to make bodies, hose bed covers, and other parts, as necessary. They must also ensure that the bend meets angle grade and other specifications of the build.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.
- Lifts metal sheets into machine to shear and bend to make bodies, hose bed covers, and other parts, as necessary.
- Reads and understands body prints, paper, and CAD.
- Ensures that bend meets angle grade and other specifications of the build.
- Loads completed work in opposite order of specifications for the next department in a dedicated cart to be moved.
- Operates plasma machine when needed to ensure that the end work meets the specifications of the build.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the company and our members
