Job Summary:
The Dental Patient Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in ensuring a positive experience. This position is responsible for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, verifying insurance, handling billing inquiries, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and the dental team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
* Schedule and confirm appointments via phone, email, or text
* Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatment plans, and insurance
* Maintain and update patient records accurately in the dental software system
* Verify insurance benefits and submit insurance claims and pre-authorizations
* Collect and process payments, co-pays, and account balances
* Follow up on treatment plans and outstanding balances
* Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient care and schedule optimization
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
* Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and office correspondence
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or relevant certification preferred
* Previous experience in a dental or medical office is strongly preferred
* Familiarity with dental terminology, insurance processes, and dental software (e.g., Dentrix)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
