Position Summary:

As a Dental Hygienist at the College of Dental Medicine (CODM), you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming patient care! You’ll provide top-tier dental services while adhering to Utah State Dental Hygiene regulations, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care. But that's not all – you’ll also collaborate with expert dental faculty, guiding and mentoring dental residents to sharpen their skills in promoting oral health, assessing patient needs, and mastering advanced non-surgical periodontal therapies. Essential Functions:

• Assist the Program Director and Faculty by providing didactic training and clinical instruction in assessing proper hygiene, scaling, root planning, prophy’s, patient exams and recall evaluations, evaluation response to non-surgical therapy, and implementing and monitoring a patient recall system
• Complete Resident evaluations as requested
• Provide direct patient care

Qualifications:

• Certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited US or Canadian school
• Eligible for licensure in Utah at time of hire, and/or ability to receive licensure within 3 months of hire
• Previous teaching experience desirable
