Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Aide to support classroom teachers and ensure a positive learning environment for students. Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy education, math, and curriculum development.
- Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Provide care and supervision for children in early childhood settings, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Support children with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities, by implementing individualized strategies and accommodations.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional development and early childhood education principles.
- Help with classroom organization, setup of learning materials, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with lesson planning when needed and adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Support children’s developmental milestones through attentive childcare practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or Montessori programs.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices including behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education needs, including working with children with autism or disabilities.
- Experience in curriculum development or lesson planning is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students.
- Background in early childhood education or related fields such as literacy education or math instruction is advantageous.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively and constructively.
- Prior classroom experience or childcare experience is highly desirable.
