Key Responsibilities
Cook Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary requirements
- Ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control policies
- Assist with inventory control, food storage, and temperature logs
- Assist with meal service, tray preparation, and delivery to residents
- Set up and break down dining areas
- Ensure residents receive meals consistent with prescribed diets
- Assist residents as needed during meal service
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and dining areas
- Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or long-term care preferred
- Knowledge of special diets (mechanical soft, diabetic, pureed, etc.) a plus
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary instructions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to pass a background check
