We are currently seeking a Full-Time Activity Assistant (Life Enrichment Assistant) to help bring joy, creativity, engagement, and meaningful connection to the older adults who call Emerald Trace home.

Position Summary
As an Activity Assistant, you will help plan, lead, and support a variety of programs that enrich residents' daily lives. Working closely with the Life Enrichment Director, you'll bring energy, fun, and purpose into the community through:
Group activities (music, crafts, games, trivia, exercise, etc.)
One-on-one visits and companionship
Seasonal events and holiday celebrations
Resident outings
Sensory programs and dementia-friendly engagement
Helping create a lively, welcoming environment
This role is ideal for someone upbeat, organized, creative, and patient who enjoys building relationships and brightening someone's day.
What You'll Do
Lead scheduled activities and events
Assist with program planning and monthly calendars
Escort and transport residents to activities
Engage residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities
Document participation and engagement notes
Help with decorations, themes, and seasonal events
Collaborate with other departments
Create moments of connection, joy, and purpose

Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in activities, caregiving, recreation, hospitality, or customer service preferred
Comfort working with older adults
Creative, energetic, friendly, and patient
Ability to work every other weekend
Ability to assist residents with mobility and transporting
Must pass background and drug screening
We will train the right person
Schedule
Full-time
Primarily day shift
Every 3rd weekend
Occasional evenings or special events
