Position Overview
Rosedale Distilling Company is seeking a motivated and dependable General Manager to help lead operations at the River Club, our restaurant, bar, and tasting room in downtown Rosedale.
This role will oversee the Bar Captain, Head Chef(s), and front-of-house team while helping create a welcoming, high-quality guest experience. The General Manager will assist with daily operations, staffing, scheduling, inventory, service standards, and overall coordination of the River Club.
We are looking for someone with restaurant, bar, hospitality, or management experience who is excited to grow with the company and take increasing ownership of the role over time. Candidates do not need to have experience in every area listed below to apply. We value strong work ethic, leadership ability, organization, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Help oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and tasting room
- Manage and support the Bar Captain, Head Chef(s), servers, bartenders, hosts, and front-of-house staff
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and team development
- Maintain a strong culture of hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism
- Help ensure smooth service flow, cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction
- Coordinate opening and closing procedures, including daily closeout, cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting
- Monitor staffing levels, labor scheduling, and operational efficiency
- Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering food, beverages, bar supplies, and operational materials
- Work with vendors and department leaders to keep operations running smoothly
- Monitor costs, reduce waste, and support budgeting and financial goals
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Handle guest feedback and help resolve service issues professionally
- Support events, live entertainment, tastings, and other distillery-related programming
- Work closely with leadership and other departments to help continue building the River Club experience
Qualifications
- 3 years of restaurant, bar, or hospitality management experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Ability to lead by example and work well with a team
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, or staff supervision is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety and alcohol compliance
- High-volume or destination venue experience preferred
