Job description
Roseburg Acupuncture & Massage is a medical clinic that supports the recovery of health and wellness to the people of Roseburg and surrounding communities.
We are a busy, multifaceted, patient-centered integrative medicine clinic.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Taking calls from patients and preforming call backs.
- Opening duties.
- Following up with submission forms.
- Collecting and entering detailed patient information.
- Schedule maintenance involving cancellations and re-booking.
- Collecting payments from patients, (occasionally involving co-insurance calculation).
- Submitting insurance information to a 3rd party biller for verification.
- Occasional communication with patients via text and or email.
- Greeting patients on entering, and bringing them to a treatment room.
- Cleaning and prepping rooms between patients.
- End of week cleaning involving dusting, vacuuming, and watering of plants.
- Effective coordination of work tasks / projects with office manager.
You should be a skilled and adaptable problem solver / multitasker who thrives in a mentally demanding work environment. The ideal candidate is autonomous, and can follow directions with ease. Telephone / voicemail etiquette is a must and the ideal candidate must find real joy in socializing with patients. We are looking for someone with an authentic and outgoing personality as this position puts you in the spotlight working directly with our patients.
Experience / Education
This is an entry level front desk and reception position for a medical clinic. We will train the right candidate for our specific needs, however, certain experience will be given favorable preference.
such as;
- Cashier, retail, and or server work experience.
- Front desk experience of a medical nature or in another area of business.
- Experience involving medical billing, or call centers.
- Other customer service based experience.

Growth Opportunities / Compensation
This position works along side the office manager to offer effective care, and while not directly responsible for the submission of claims, plays a major role in their timely filing.
Raises can be discussed at 90 day periods, granted the candidate assumes tasks associated to the office manager, offering more value to the position.
The amount of potential raise is open to negotiation.
The starting pay is $16/hour.
