Duties
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to facilitate timely delivery of orders, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Monitor order flow on tickets or digital screens, prioritizing tasks to optimize efficiency during busy service periods.
- Communicate effectively with cooks, bartenders, and front-of-house team members to resolve any issues or delays quickly.
- Ensure all food items leaving the kitchen meet safety, quality, and food handling standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting the culinary team in maintaining smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and assisting with general restaurant cleanliness to enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of kitchen workflows, food preparation, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with banquet service or hotel dining environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards required by local health regulations.
