Position Overview
This is a customer-facing role at the heart of our equipment rental operation. You'll be the first person customers see when they walk in and the last one they talk to when they return equipment. You'll keep things organized, keep customers informed, and make sure every rental goes smoothly from start to finish. It's people work, it's detail work, and it's the kind of job where you can see the difference you're making every single day.
Key Responsibilities
Rental Counter
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting the right equipment for their needs
- Check customers in and out of rental equipment, including reviewing condition, completing paperwork, and processing transactions
- Answer questions about equipment availability, pricing, rental terms, and proper operation
- Inspect returned equipment for damage and cleanliness; flag issues for repair or follow-up
- Maintain accurate rental records and assist with basic administrative tasks
General Operations
- Keep the rental office and counter area organized and presentable
- Coordinate with yard staff to ensure equipment is ready for pickup
- Support the team with other tasks as needed — we all pitch in

- Basic math and computer skills for processing transactions and rental records
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Experience in customer service, retail, equipment rental, or a related field is helpful but not required — we'll train the right person
Compensation
Starting wage of $14/hour; actual wage will depend on experience and may be higher or lower.
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
