Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will work closely with children to educate and guide them through age-appropriate activities, ensuring that each child receives the attention they need to thrive.
Duties
- Assist the Lead Teacher in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of each child.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive teaching approach and share best practices.
- Provide first aid when necessary and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Experience in childcare settings such as nannying, babysitting, or classroom environments.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively address challenges in a constructive manner.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to educate children through play-based learning and structured activities.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
