Rose View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a friendly, energetic, and compassionate Activities Aide to join our team and help enrich the lives of our residents every day.
In this important role, you will assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and leading engaging recreational and social programs that promote physical activity, mental stimulation, emotional well-being, and meaningful connections for our residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.
Activities Aide Schedule
Full-Time position
Daytime hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday through Friday)
Occasional weekends or evenings may be required for special events
Activities Aide Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activities, including games, crafts, music programs, outings, exercise sessions, and holiday celebrations
Set up and clean activity areas before and after programs
Transport and escort residents to and from activities using safe techniques (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.)
Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement for those who need extra support
Document resident participation and responses to activities
Maintain activity supplies and equipment in an organized manner
Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy teams, and other departments to support resident-centered care
Help create a positive, joyful atmosphere that enhances residents’ quality of life
Activities Aide Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in activities, recreation, long-term care, or working with seniors is preferred
Friendly, patient, and outgoing personality with a genuine passion for working with older adults
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and a positive, flexible attitude
Basic computer skills (for documentation and scheduling)
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and assist with resident transport as needed
