LOCATION: MEDIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
EFFECTIVE DATE: 2025/2026 SCHOOL YEAR
COMPENSATION: PER RTMEA CONTRACT
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of bachelor’s degree. Active and valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Library Science. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books, technology, and helping students succeed; ability to manage the school library and its resources; ability to support students with research projects and information literacy skill development; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents. Skilled in oral and written communication.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Subject to the indoor work environment the majority of the time. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
