POSITION: Assistant Director of K-12 Programs

Description Of Duties

The Assistant Director of K-12 Programs manages relationships and operations across multiple K-12 initiatives and partnerships. This role serves as the primary point of contact for charter school partners and the Oklahoma State Department of Education, leads the Charter Authorization Committee, and oversees required reporting, invoicing, and site visits. The position maintains and enforces minors on campus policies and procedures, provisions system access for K-12 programming, and ensures compliance across all activities involving minors. Additional responsibilities include supporting Kids College operations and assisting with broader K-12 programming such as after-school programs, outreach events, Parent's Night Out, and campus-sponsored activities. Ongoing coverage at the LEAD Center supports daily operations and maintains consistent building access. Serve as the main point of contact for Charter School partners and OSDE. Lead the Charter Authorization Committee. Conduct annual reporting, invoicing, and site visits for RSC's charter school partners. Maintain and ensure compliance with Minor of Campus policy and procedures. Provide and support access to necessary software systems related to K-12 activities across campus. Support Kids College and Teen Scene operations. Support front office staff and the Director of K-12 Programs. Plan, coordinate, execute, and support K-12 programming, including but not limited to after school programs, outreach events, Parents Night Out and on-campus sponsored events. Oversee daily operations in the LEAD Center, including supervising front office staff and serving as a first point of contact for parents, visitors, and clients. Represent the Director of K-12 Programs in meetings and other professional settings as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in education, elementary or secondary education, curriculum and instruction, or a closely related field. At least two (2) years of professional experience in K-12 education, youth programming, or program coordination. Experience should include direct interaction with students, parents, educators, or school partners, along with responsibility for organizing programs, events, or services. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate logistics, and maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to work effectively with K-12 students, families, school personnel, and campus staff. Strong organization and attention to detail, especially in tracking programs and compliance requirements involving minors. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn systems used for program access, registration, and tracking. Sound judgement and consistent application of policies and procedures. Light lifting up to 20 lbs. and light carrying up to 20 lbs. required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Ability to move freely on-campus and to visit off-campus locations.

Desired Qualifications

Master's degree in education, school counseling, curriculum and instruction, library media, or a closely related field. Training or professional development related to youth program management, child safety, or compliance. Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level. Three (3) or more years of experience managing or supporting K-12 programs, summer camps, after-school initiatives, or campus-based youth programming. Experience working with charter schools or school district partners, including coordination of reporting or site visits. Familiarity with minors on campus policies and program compliance expectations. Experience supporting multi-program operations across a college or community setting. Strong coordination and time management with the ability to track overlapping programs and deadlines. Experience improving program processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance across multiple stakeholders. Ability to communicate policies clearly and work effectively with both educational partners and internal teams while maintaining accountability for assigned program areas.
