ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
POSITION: Accounting Representative/Buyer
Description Of Duties
Review purchases requests for completeness and correctness. Perform accounting work involving the maintenance of numerous and diversified accounts for Rose. Review and validate purchase requests for approval. Approve requisitions, create purchase orders, and check budgets. Prepare and scan all claims for Rose and Tech. Process payments by check and EFT to vendors containing confidential information. Print and Prepare purchase orders for mailing to vendors. Respond to financial inquiries from Rose State departments, OMES and audit. Train and assist faculty and staff on the use Oracle software. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Process incoming mail to distribute to campus.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years business office accounting or related purchasing experience. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in operating business office equipment such as a calculator, scanner and computer. Light lifting and light carrying required. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, and bending.
Desired Qualifications
Associate's Degree. Three (3) years of business office accounting or related purchasing experience.
