We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Wet Lab Scientist to join our Discovery Biology team in San Diego. This is a hands-on role central to a high-priority binder screening campaign aimed at identifying and validating novel therapeutic candidates for T-cell-based therapies.

What You’ll Do:

• Execute bench-level assays to characterize potency, specificity, and safety of candidate binders (e.g., scFvs, VHHs).
• Perform non-viral engineering of primary human T cells, including delivery of mRNA or transposon-based DNA systems via electroporation/nucleofection.
• Maintain and expand primary T cells and Jurkat cell lines with impeccable aseptic technique.
• Conduct multi-color flow cytometry (FACS) and analyze data using FlowJo.
• Run functional assays, including cytotoxicity (IncuCyte/LDH), cytokine profiling (ELISA, MSD, Luminex), and T-cell proliferation tracking (CFSE).
• Meticulously document experiments and raw data in an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).
• Utilize liquid-handling robotics for high-throughput screening when needed.
• Present data-driven updates in weekly campaign meetings.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or related biological sciences.
• 2 years of hands-on wet lab experience, preferably in an industry setting.
• Mastery of aseptic technique and experience isolating primary T cells from PBMCs.
• Strong expertise in flow cytometry acquisition and analysis.
• Experience with non-viral transfection methods is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced drug discovery environment.
