Job Description
Required Education:
- High school diploma
- Associate’s degree
- Certifications in fire alarm/security systems or project management (e.g., NICET, PMP, State Certification) are a plus
- Experience in the security, fire alarm, or construction industry required
- Project management experience in installation or construction environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project (or similar tools), Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of local and national fire alarm systems and inspection processes
- Familiarity with systems such as CCTV, card access, and other security technologies preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, policies, and procedures in English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet deadlines and project demands
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening
- Manage and administer projects involving fire alarm, security, CCTV, card access, and related systems
- Coordinate project activities with management, contracts administration, sales, engineering, and field teams
- Ensure proper documentation for all project phases, including site visits, communications, permits, RFIs, and project closeouts
- Oversee compliance with safety programs to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to regulations
- Monitor and manage manpower requirements through backlog reporting to optimize project efficiency and profitability
- Implement and manage change orders to support project scope and financial performance
- Participate in project review meetings with internal departments to track progress and resolve issues
- Assist in developing and maintaining construction schedules to ensure timely project completion and certification
- Maintain and update project logs, including timelines, labor hours, approvals, and system details
- Support estimating and proposal development for new and existing projects
