Job Description
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical Technology or Engineering Science
- Completion of a mechanical apprenticeship
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship
- Military technical training in mechanical or electrical systems
- Minimum 7 years of mechanical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment repair and maintenance
- Experience with electric motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and PLCs
- Strong understanding of bearings, shafts, gearboxes, AC/DC motors, starters, contactors, and three-phase power
- Experience troubleshooting packaging and production machinery
- Ability to perform root cause analysis for machine downtime events
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Experience performing preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of machine shop operations and welding
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and more than 60 pounds occasionally in compliance with OSHA standards
- Experience with liquid filling equipment
- Experience supporting aerosol packaging lines
- Experience supporting hair care packaging lines
- Experience using CMMS systems
- Experience using MES systems
- Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting packaging and production equipment on aerosol and hair care lines
- Ensures maximum equipment efficiency, productivity, and product quality
- Performs advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Conducts changeovers, equipment setup, installation, rebuilding, and line alterations
- Utilizes CMMS and MES data to analyze performance and resolve complex maintenance issues
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives and preventive maintenance programs
- Works in a manufacturing environment requiring physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting
- Diagnose, repair, changeover, and maintain all packaging and support equipment
- Conduct line changeovers and perform necessary setup and adjustments according to production schedules
- Perform line alterations and rebuild equipment as necessary
- Analyze CMMS and MES data to resolve routine and complex electrical and mechanical issues
- Perform established preventative maintenance and correct issues identified during inspections
- Troubleshoot machine downtime and implement root cause and preventive solutions
- Assist manufacturing personnel with process-related issues
- Assist engineering with equipment installations
- Repair and fabricate parts as required
- Operate forklift trucks to move equipment and materials.
