Job Description
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in EH&S Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field
- Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, Hazardous Materials Technician, Incident Command, or respirator clearance are a plus
- Strong knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) principles within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with OSHA compliance, risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response programs
- Ability to maintain and improve EH&S management systems aligned with internal and regulatory requirements
- Experience conducting EH&S inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring activities
- Strong understanding of environmental programs, including waste management and environmental monitoring
- Ability to analyze EH&S trends, prepare reports/metrics, and recommend corrective actions
- Experience leading EH&S training sessions and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide EH&S leadership to site operations
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards preferred
- Provide EH&S technical support and leadership for the Mahwah manufacturing site
- Maintain EH&S management systems in compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and deliver EH&S training programs for employees and site personnel
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, and compliance assessments to ensure workplace safety
- Prepare EH&S reports, metrics, and trend analysis for leadership review
- Lead and support the site Emergency Response program and related preparedness activities
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Assess EH&S impact of operational or process changes and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Support risk assessment and risk reduction initiatives across the facility
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
- Manage waste handling and environmental monitoring programs
- Lead EH&S-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with site leadership to strengthen EH&S performance and safety culture
