Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our boarding and daycare team, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care for pets. As a member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs and cats in our care.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to minimize risk while creating an enjoyable environment.
- Provide redirection and behavioral guidance to dogs as needed.
- Monitor the health and behavior of all animals in the daycare, reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the daycare facility, including kennels and play areas.
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in veterinary, humane society or boarding facilities is a plus but willing to train motivated candidates.
- Ability to learn skills in animal handling and restraint.
- Willingness to learn excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and coworkers.
- Ability to lift and assist animals
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
