What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Enrichment Manager position at ROSE HILL CENTER INC?
Job Summary: (General Statement of Duties)
Design, implement and oversee therapeutic, recreational and life enrichment programs tailored to adults with mental health diagnosis. Develop structured daily, weekly and monthly activity calendars that promote socialization, independence and emotional wellbeing. Provides oversight to Team Support Specialists (TSS) when a Residential Shift Coordinator (RSC) is not available.
Essential Functions:
- Create and maintain calendar schedule for Rose Hill Center Life Enrichment Programming.
- Incorporate evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches into programming.
- Adapt activities to accommodate varying emotional and physical abilities for each program:
- Extended Residential
- Residential Rehabilitation
- Transitional Living
- Community Supports
- Support residents individualized goals through meaningful engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with TSS to integrate enrichment activities into unstructured times.
- Facilitate group activities focused on coping skills, social skills, mindfulness, creative expression and stress reduction.
- Maintain documentation of participation, program outcomes and progress toward goals.
- Ensure programming complies with state federal and licensing regulations.
- Manage activity budgets, supplies and inventory.
- Coordinate community outings, recovery opportunities and access to faith based and cultural programs.
- Provides leadership, scheduling oversight, and performance evaluations for music, art and Life Enrichment Coordinator.
- Ensure music and art programming is therapeutically appropriate, trauma informed and aligns with best practices.
- Promote creative expression as a tool for emotional regulation and self-discovery.
- Plan coordinate and oversee facility wide special events, seasonal celebrations and holiday programming.
- Available to provide support to TSS in the absence of an RSC on campus.
- Must complete med training and maintain understanding of medication administration software and current practices.
- Must participate in all training assigned to RSC and have working knowledge of the role.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in mental health field.
Essential Qualities:
- Ability to maintain a schedule of Friday- Tuesday 4pm-12:30am
- Demonstrate the ability to engage residents in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of illness or phase of recovery and use principles of trauma informed care and a willingness to support and assist residents with trauma related issues.
- Ability to read and write well and follow written instructions, ability to obtain and maintain valid chauffeur’s license and necessary certifications, included but not limited to CPR and First Aid.
- Able to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of each resident.
- Able to appropriately handle emergency situations.
- Must have minimum lifting requirements of 25 pounds.
