Medical Biller / Collector / PointClickCare Billing Specialist (CLHF)

We are a growing healthcare organization operating two Congregate Living Health Facilities (CLHFs) dedicated to providing exceptional care for medically complex patients. We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller / Collector / Billing Auditor who is highly proficient in PointClickCare and can take ownership of our entire billing operation.

This is not a data-entry billing position. We are looking for someone who understands the complete revenue cycle and can independently build, improve, and manage our billing processes.

Required Experience

• Extensive medical billing and collections experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in PointClickCare is REQUIRED.
• Experience configuring and maintaining PointClickCare billing.
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing, claims submission, accounts receivable, denials, and collections.
• Experience with CLHFs, Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), Long-Term Care, or Post-Acute Care is strongly preferred.
• Experience auditing billing systems and correcting historical billing issues.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize PointClickCare billing operations.
• Set up and maintain insurance payors, payer contracts, billing levels, reimbursement rules, and fee schedules.
• Establish and maintain accurate resident demographics, authorizations, insurance information, and accounts receivable records.
• Audit, reconcile, and clean up existing billing records and outstanding A/R.
• Submit electronic and paper claims accurately and on time.
• Resolve billing errors, denials, rejected claims, and payment discrepancies.
• Aggressively follow up on unpaid claims and outstanding balances.
• Monitor aging reports and develop action plans to improve collections.
• Identify reimbursement issues and work claims through payment.
• Develop organized billing workflows and internal procedures that support long-term growth.
• Collaborate with administration to improve revenue cycle performance and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of medical billing and collections experience.
• Advanced PointClickCare experience required (applications without PointClickCare experience will not be considered).
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, and commercial insurance billing.
• Excellent knowledge of revenue cycle management and accounts receivable.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
