Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Handyman role based in Queens, NY. The Handyman will perform routine repairs and maintenance in residential buildings, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks. Responsibilities include responding to resident service requests, troubleshooting issues, and completing work orders in a timely and professional manner. The role involves conducting regular inspections of common areas and apartments, assisting with turnover of units, and supporting preventive maintenance programs. The Handyman will collaborate with building management and maintenance teams to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Strong general maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, with the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Experience in residential building maintenance or a similar property management environment, preferably in multifamily or luxury properties.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues, prioritize work orders, and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with residents, colleagues, and vendors.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Queens, NY, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
