POSITION DESCRIPTION: The person working as breaker plant maintenance technician shall perform assigned duties on a daily basis, including, but not limited to preventive maintenance checks and services, documenting all actions as required. Must work from a prioritized list and perform all duties in a timely manner. Must remain flexible, being prepared to deal with occasional changes in responsibility, as well as schedule.

Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for performing preventive checks and services in assigned areas.
- Responsible for all documentation required by Operating Procedures.
- Familiarize and insure compliance and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices Handbook (GMP) policies.
- Responsible for complying with all Rose Acre Farms policies and procedures.
- Inform (within a reasonable period) the Maintenance Manager, Breaking Plant Manager or Complex Manager of any urgent or emergency situations that require immediate attention or approval.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary or vital to Rose Acre Farms operations or interests.
- Insure housekeeping duties are routinely completed.
- Be familiar with and conform to all Rose Acre Farms' Biosecurity Program policies.
- Must be able to lift 65 lbs. Must be able to reach area only accessible by ladder. Must be able to climb to and work on equipment in hard-to-reach areas.
- Must be able to learn new areas of responsibility.
- Must often work without supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent desired.
- Must be experienced in trouble shooting equipment and making mechanical repairs. (i.e., troubleshooting, maintenance and repair, and familiarizing themselves with operation manuals).
- Capable of performing routine math calculations.
- Must be able to follow detailed instruction, work without supervision, and be able to learn new skills and responsibilities.
- Good communication skills (i.e. written and verbal).
- Be available to work flexible hours - including nights and weekends.
- Ability to quickly address critical and urgent situations.
- Possess good decision-making skills.
- Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
- Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
- Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
- Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
