Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Process customer transactions accurately using a cash register.
- Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and promote additional products.
- Maintain an organized and stocked checkout area, ensuring products are readily available for customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance as needed.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with a solid understanding of basic math and retail math principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with product demos is a plus, showcasing your ability to engage customers effectively.
- A team player attitude with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed.
