Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head Girls Volleyball Coach based in Aurora, IL. The Head Girls Volleyball Coach will oversee the development and execution of the volleyball program in alignment with the mission and values of Rosary High School. Responsibilities include planning and leading practice sessions, coordinating game strategies, mentoring athletes, enhancing skills, organizing events, maintaining high standards of sportsmanship, and ensuring the team adheres to school and athletic regulations. The coach will also communicate effectively with players, families, and school staff to foster a positive and supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong coaching and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop athletes to reach their potential.
- Proficiency in new game strategies, practice planning, and competitive play techniques specific to volleyball.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with athletes, parents, and school staff professionally and collaboratively.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage practices, games, and administrative tasks effectively.
- Commitment to upholding sportsmanship, ethics, and the values of Rosary High School in all aspects of the coaching role.
- Experience coaching volleyball at the high school level or above; prior experience leading a team is preferred.
- A passion for mentoring young athletes and fostering personal and athletic growth.
- Compliance with all relevant certifications and requirements, including CPR and First Aid training.
- Knowledge of IHSA rules and regulations is an advantage.
