What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff/Crew Member position at Rosè's Cuisine?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with bussing and cleaning tables as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Must be trustworthy with no criminal record.
- Greet and assists customers while anticipating their needs.
- Count, organize, and balance register drawer at the end of the day.
- Complies with cash handling policies and procedures.
- Must be able to take incoming calls.
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards customers and co-workers, etc.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
Skills:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual speaker preferred
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred
- Experience with Caribbean/Jamaican cuisine is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to follow recipes, maintain consistency, and uphold food quality standards
- Willingness to assist with food preparation, cleanliness, and daily restaurant operations
**Available from 11a-8:30p Tuesday- Saturday
