Position Overview:As a baker at Rory’s Other Place, you’ll be a part of our daily baking team of two bakers. You’ll accurately follow recipes, contribute fresh and exciting ideas, and collaborate with the team of chefs to streamline production and ensure consistency. We want someone who has a genuine passion for baking, & works well in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow Recipes: Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, bread, and other baked goods according to established recipes. Assemble daily sandwiches.
- Innovate and Create: Develop new and exciting pastry ideas that align with our café’s vision and delight our customers.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and café team to streamline processes, ensure efficient production, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Consistency: Ensure all baked goods and sandwiches are consistent in flavor, appearance, and quality every time.
- Customer Focus: Stay up to date with customer preferences, seasonal trends, and new baking techniques.
- Early Mornings: Be willing to work early mornings to prepare fresh batches of baked goods for opening hours.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Follow strict hygiene and safety standards to ensure a clean, safe work environment.
